Kenpro KR400 Antenna Rotator with 3.2 LCD touch screen Controller. Using STM32 Module with 3.2 LCD touch screen. With programmable angle (auto mode). The innovative STM 32 module with touch screen is used to modify the Antenna Rotator Controller (eg KR400).The STM controller can be used to control azimuth angle in manual or auto mode. The Controller allows you to set azimuth, which you set with the rotary encoder and will stop moving the antenna once the desired angle is reached.
The STM module provides a few lines (ports) which can be used to control the Antenna Rotator LEFT or RIGHT (CCW or CW). The current angle-azimuth (Angle [deg]) is read by reading the voltage from potentiometer, which is built inside the Antenna rotator. Auto Angle is set by the rotary encoder (0-360 deg). In AUTO mode, the rotator will change position to Auto Angle and, after the new position is set, the mode will automatically switch to MANUAL.
In MANUAL mode, you can set required angle (azimuth) by touching buttons LEFT or RIGHT. The STM 32 controller was built into the Rotator controller and tested on Yaesu Antenna Rotator KR400. How the STM 32 Controller is connected with the Antenna Rotator is described in the comprehensive manual, which is included in the package.
The manual includes a schematic for the STM 32 controller built into the KR400. The Controller can be adapted to any rotator. The STM Controller will stop the Rotator motor just before the Rotator reaches the end (180 degrees). New rotators have an end switch and the above settings are not critical but exist if you have a KR400 with no end switches.
